Using the App

Where is the menu?

Symbols are lined up vertically on the right edge of the screen. From the top: "Settings," "Decorate," and "BGM" (the music note). Tap the eye symbol a little below them to hide the symbols and simply watch the tank. The symbols fade out when you don't touch the screen for a while, and come back when you touch it.

Decorate: choose the diorama, background, tank shape, light, decor (floating items and floor objects), clione, and Star Medals
BGM: water sound and music, tracks, sleep timer, clock, and lock

How do I move around the tank?

Drag to rotate the tank, and spread two fingers to zoom in. Tap with two fingers to reset the view. Tap inside the tank and the water ripples where you touch.

The screen is locked and I can't do anything

Tap the screen and a key appears at the top right. Press and hold the key to unlock. You can choose the lock type in "Settings."

What is the sleep timer?

Choose a time with the sleep timer in "BGM" (you can also press and hold the music note to choose one quickly). When the time comes, the sound fades out slowly, then the screen dims and the tank pauses. Tap the screen to resume.

There is no sound

Check that "Water Sound" and "Music" in "BGM" are not turned off, and check your device's volume. If "Silent in Silent Mode" is on, the App follows your device's silent switch.

My device gets warm / the battery drains quickly

Set "Quality" in "Settings" to "Saver" to reduce the drawing load. When your device is hot or in Low Power Mode, the App automatically draws more lightly.

Star Medals

What are Star Medals?

Small golden star-shaped medals (Star Medals) sink to the bottom of the tank from time to time. Tap one to pick it up and add Star Medals to your balance. There is a daily limit on how many times you can pick them up, and new ones sink every day. You can exchange the Star Medals you collect for locked dioramas, backgrounds, props, and tank shapes, and items you exchange for are yours to keep.

Where can I see my balance and how many I can pick up today?

Open "Decorate" and tap the Star Medal balance at the top to see the Star Medals page. The balance is not shown while you have Clione Premium.

I heard I can get Star Medals by watching ads

On the Star Medals page (tap the balance at the top of "Decorate"), tap the ad button. When you watch the video ad to the end, you receive Star Medals. There is a daily limit. Ads are shown only when you choose to watch one, and you can still pick up Star Medals in the tank every day without watching ads. While you have Clione Premium, the ad entry point is not shown.

I watched an ad but my Star Medals didn't increase

Confirming the reward can take a little time. Wait a moment, then reopen the Star Medals page. If your connection is unstable, it will be reflected once you are online.

Will my Star Medals carry over to a new device?

If you download the App from the App Store with the same Apple Account, your Star Medals and exchanged items carry over automatically (no iCloud sign-in or login needed). To get Clione Premium back on a new device, tap "Restore Purchases."

Clione Premium

What is Clione Premium?

A yearly or monthly subscription. While subscribed, you can use all dioramas, backgrounds, tank shapes, and props, play the Premium-only tracks (marked with a crown), and keep up to 7 clione. Newly added dioramas are available from the day they are released. To subscribe, tap any item with a crown and choose "Get Premium," or tap "See Premium" at the top of the App's "Settings."

How do I cancel?

On your device, go to Settings > your name > Subscriptions, choose "Clione Premium," and cancel. If you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the period, it will not renew. Deleting the App does not cancel the subscription.

I want to use Premium after changing devices or reinstalling

In the App's "Settings," tap "Restore Purchases" under "About This App." (It is also on the purchase screen that opens from "See Premium.") You need to be signed in to the same Apple Account you used for the purchase.

I'd like a refund

Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple. Please request one at https://reportaproblem.apple.com.

What happens to my items if I stop Premium?

Items you exchanged Star Medals for remain. Items available only with Premium are no longer shown, and the tank returns to items you can use. If you subscribe again, your tank returns to how it was.
